My name is Ritesh. I am 31 years young and was born and raised in London, England. I am a first generation resident of Indian parents. I am a graduate of Philosophy from a University in London.
I think Philosophy has been a great help and inspiration to me personally and to my photography. There are many facets of photography that can be applied to philosophy and vice versa, this is something I endeavour to project in my photos.
Photography has become a great passion of mine, and it gives me a great buzz, especially when I am working with someone and creating something for them and myself. Photography is a hobby for me, one that allows me the freedom to express myself,it gives me the ability to be creative and also puts me in touch with very interesting people, to get to know and to work with.
I have taken two courses on Photography, one which involved the body and how to identify with it, the other was about erosion and decay. I think the courses have been a great help, and have laid some foundations in the direction my photography is leading. Moreover alot of my thinking has come from books I have read and from my own experimenting and use of a camera.
Other things I enjoy in my spare time are playing sports, mainly running distance and playing football. I enjoy playing chess and reading about anything and everything. I enjoy looking at works of art, photography and any other form of creativity which could be construed as Art. My taste for TV,cinema, music and other forms of media are very eclectic and I am open to most things, trying to learn and taking something possitive from them.
If I was to sum up my personality i would say that I am a lively, energetic and very enthusiastic individual. Which is something i like to reflect into my shoots and make them as interesting and creative as possible. I endevour to make my models feel completely relaxed and uninhibited with my ideas, and the energy I put into making them a reality. I do not take myself too seriously and like to think that I am fun to be around as well as to work with.
Well I hope this has given you some insight into who I am and the reason for taking up photography. I am always available at
